The Rube Goldberg Machine Contest

The Rube Goldberg Machine Contest (RGMC) is a creative and competitive event that requires teams to build a machine that performs a simple task in a complex way, using a series of chain reactions. The contest is named after Rube Goldberg, a Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist known for his illustrations of complicated gadgets that perform simple tasks.

2024 National Contest 

Celebrating its 35th anniversary, the Rube Goldberg Machine Challenge will partner with Wonderland Education, the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University, and the Purdue Engineering Student Council to co-host national events in West Lafayette, marking a legacy of innovation and creativity in an exciting new chapter.
